The Best Ways To Monetize a Website or Blog

When it comes down to monetizing a website, there are many different ways to go about this. Many website owners and bloggers enjoy the benefits of having multiple revenue streams that brings in cash each month. While you may come across many different articles, videos and other media content that gives you 50 to 100 ways to monetizing a website, there's a handful of ways that has been proving very successful for many online entrepreneurs, website owners, and others.

Taking a look at some of the most effective ways to monetize a website or blog, whether its' for business or personal, many people have came up with different methods to gain visitors and followers to their site increasing page clicks, sales, site memberships, etc. Some of these methods includes lead pages, social media promoting, videos and podcast, backlinks and many others which all are major tools you can use to get people to your website. With all those ways of getting people to your blog or website, you have to ask yourself what you going to do with your visitors?

Are you going to sell them something, offer a free service or product, get them to sign up for a membership, or all the above? Whatever you choose, a certain call for action is required once visitors get to your website. For most internet marketers, all of the above is key to running a successful blog or website along with valuable content. The problem that most people who are just starting out on the internet has is coming up with something to write about, sell to their visitors or services to offer. Not that there is a shortage of ways to monetize a site, but the key is finding something of value to either sell or write about. A niche that is not too crowded or overly written about.

There are thousands of internet marketers that has already made sites and blogs for just about every single niche there is with still many that has gone untapped do to the rapid changes in technology, services, products, etc but one thing they all have in common is that they all use some of the same methods to monetize their blogs or websites. Even though these web monetization tools and services maybe over crowded, they still hold their place in the wold of website monetizing. For instance, there's millions of books in the book marketplace but there is always a new #1 Bestseller. The simple reason for this is because all books are not the same and with the changes that was stated above always occurring, you will always have new genres, new authors and new ideas to accompany that change.

So as long as the web monetization methods below has been around, which it has for years, they will always be some of the best ways to monetize a website or a blog as long as you can find a niche that is not already crowded with other internet marketers. So for 2015, the best ways to monetize a website or your blogs are:

eBooks

Writing Books and selling digitized copies from your website can be very lucrative. You simply setup a payment button using a service like PayPal on your site where you are marketing the eBook, and when someones pays your asking price, you simply send them the link to the book. The Best thing about this is that there is no middle man and doesn't require any inventory. Now you can sell both, hardbacks and eBooks and make twice as much but then you would be required to learn more about the independent book publishing and printing services. Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs is one of the top ways to monetize your website or blog. Affiliate programs allows website and blog owners(affiliates) to market and sell companies products. Once signed up for a affiliate program, you will receive text or banner links which is to be posted on your website or used in articles. If someone is on your website and clicks on one of the links and and buys the product, you will receive a commission. There are so many options of programs and merchants who you can choose to promote their products. Some of the top Affiliate Programs are

Pay Per Click Ads

Using pay per click ads is another great way to earn some revenue. There are plenty of different services out there but the most popular is Google Adsense. Once you have signed up for the service and have been approved, you can copy and paste codes on your website that will display ads relevant to what your site consists of. So example, if your site deals with electronics, ads from electronics stores, products and services will show on your website. Now, if someone clicks on that ad, Google will pay you anywhere from $0.01 to $5 depending an many factors (cost per click, type of ad, etc).

Selling Ad Space

Selling ad space on your website can generate you a steady income every month depending on the terms of the agreements between you and the client. The thing about this is that in order to get people wanting to advertise on your site, you have to have a large audience, meaning thousands of views a month. If you are just starting out, it may be hard at first but once your audience begins to grow, it will be easier to find advertisers. To begin, you would need to set aside an area on your website, mainly the very top left or right corner of the website so when people visit your site, the ads get as much exposure as possible. You can let people know you are selling ad space by emailing merchants, other websites, or create an ad that says something like, Advertise With Us, allowing people to click on the ad to inquire about buying ad space from you!

Sponsored Posts and Reviews

Sponsored post and reviews is another way to monetize your website or in this case, getting paid to review or promote other peoples products. However, it too requires that you have a large audience to promote to. Basically, if your site has a large audience or gets a lot of monthly views, you can charge advertisers a fee to review their product on your website or blog. Whether your a health blogger, garden blogger, tech blogger, there's companies that are looking for people to review their products on your blog.

Selling Your Own Products/Services

Selling your own products or services directly from your website can be very lucrative and is one of the top ways many website owners make money from their website. Not only are you essentially cutting out the middleman, but you also get to keep most of the money(except for the small processing fees from your online payment processor). This is also one of the best ways to make money online because it is much cheaper than running a brick and mortar store and having to pay rent, utilities, additional employees, etc.

Paid Membership Websites

If you have a blog or forum, you can charge people to become a member of your site and give them exclusive and premium content is not available with free membership. You can also add different membership levels, downloadable products, services and support, physical products, streaming content and more. It's hard work to get members to not only sign up for your website but to also pay for membership so it is best to start with free memberships first, then gradually add paid membership levels.
